Compare the progression, not just the subject label
A chemistry comparison should distinguish learning a principle, using it to interpret data and carrying out a supervised practical task. Retain those distinctions in your notes. A course called laboratory tells you something about format, but does not by itself establish which procedures you would be authorised to perform or what equipment would be used.

Prepare the correct admission file
The faculty’s new-entry information distinguishes assigned enrolment arrangements following university pre-enrolment. Its July 2026 allocation notices are historical on the check date, not invitations for a future cycle. New-entry information.
Build a checklist around the qualification you actually hold, the route for applying for a place and the instructions that apply after allocation. Identify any foreign-qualification procedure through the degree page’s linked official route. Do not treat an enrolment ordering list, a prior admission grade or an English translation of the website as proof of eligibility or an English-taught place.
For a focused enquiry, record the exact award, entry year, language question and document whose scope you cannot establish. Keep a separate column for evidence you already possess. This prevents an unanswered translation question from being mistaken for an unanswered academic question, and helps you request a precise clarification.
Original worked exercise: a calibration with an intercept
This fictional numerical exercise involves no chemicals or laboratory procedure. Suppose an invented response scale gives a reading of two at a reference value of zero and seven at a reference value of ten. Assume, for this first model only, that response changes linearly between those points.
The change in response is five across ten reference units, giving a slope of 0.5. The fitted rule is response =2+0.5×reference value. A response of five corresponds to a reference value of six: subtract the intercept two, then divide the remaining three by 0.5. Simply dividing five by 0.5 would give ten and ignore the baseline.
Now introduce a third invented reference point: a value of twenty produces a response of thirteen. The first model would predict twelve. The residual, observed minus predicted response, is therefore one. Record that discrepancy before claiming that the original rule works over the expanded range. Two fitting points alone could not test that claim.
Do not silently replace the first rule with a new one. Keep a model column, a prediction column and an observation column. Then explain what extra data would help you distinguish a wider linear relationship from another possible pattern. A numerical mismatch does not, by itself, identify its cause.
Finish with a concise statement of scope: the rule was stipulated and checked on invented points; it is not a measurement method for a real substance. Your answer should preserve the intercept, units and discrepancy rather than reporting only the calculated six.
Practical questions
Should the table be treated as the entire degree plan?
No. It selects a few components for comparison. Use the official record for all requirements and the relevant course guide for detailed teaching.
What should my language question contain?
Specify the intended course, group and academic year. Ask about actual teaching and assessment rather than the interface language of a webpage.
Can the calibration be used in a real laboratory?
No. Its points and relationship are invented for a paper interpretation exercise.
