A geology comparison should distinguish an observation from the history proposed to explain it. Keep a drawing, its labels and the rules used to interpret it together. An attractive sequence of events can still contain an unsupported ordering, especially when two events are not directly related by the available observations.

When comparing that component with another degree, ask what kind of record you would learn to produce. A named field course does not establish the same locations, timetable or assessment elsewhere. Start your applicant checklist with the exact qualification held and intended entry year. Identify which procedure concerns your access qualification, which concerns requesting a place and which concerns registration after allocation. Keep deadlines attached to their actions. A programme’s curriculum edition is not itself an admission calendar, and a historical cutoff is not an individual admission promise.
For a precise language enquiry, name the intended programme and course group. Do not assume that an English explanation of a Spanish course name changes teaching or assessment language. Use the original title when asking the faculty about a component.
Original worked exercise: a partial event sequence
This independent paper task uses invented events and explicitly stipulated interpretation rules. Let an earlier layer be called L, an intrusion D, a fault F and a cover C. For this task only, assume the observations establish that D happened after L, F happened after D and C happened after F.
The supported sequence is therefore L, D, F, C. Write each adjacent relationship beside the observation that supports it. Do not add absolute ages: the task supplies relative ordering only. An event may be later without the evidence saying how much later.
Now introduce a second intrusion E. The supplied evidence says only that E happened after L and before C. At least three placements remain possible: between L and D, between D and F, or between F and C. A single confident five-event sequence would hide that unresolved relationship.
Draw L at the start and C at the end. Put D before F on one line, and place E on a separate line spanning the possible interval. This drawing communicates a partial order more honestly than selecting an arbitrary position for E. If you later obtain evidence that E predates D, update the drawing and identify which uncertainty has been removed.
Finish with two sentences: one giving the supported sequence and another naming the unresolved relationship. This is a fictional logic exercise, not an interpretation of an actual outcrop or a substitute for supervised fieldwork.
Practical questions
Why retain the Spanish course names?
They make it easier to find the actual record and distinguish your selected translation from an official award or module title.
Does a relative sequence establish an age?
Not in this invented task. The evidence supplies ordering relationships but no numerical dates.
What should remain unresolved in a comparison?
Any detail for which the selected record supplies no evidence, including an unverified future course edition or applicant deadline.
